Athlete Release and Waiver of Liability
Lineup Legends — All Events
READ THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING.
BY SIGNING BELOW, YOU GIVE UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.
Section 1 — Eligibility Confirmation
I confirm that:
I am 18 years of age or older (or, if 13–17, my parent/guardian has completed Section 6 below).
I have read and agree to the Official Contest Rules for the applicable event.
All registration information I provided is accurate and complete.
I am physically fit and capable of participating in action sports competition.
I am not aware of any medical condition that would prevent my safe participation.
Section 2 — Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk
I, the undersigned Participant, acknowledge and agree to the following:
2.1 Assumption of Risk
Action sports competition involves inherent risks. Risks include, but are not limited to: collision with other participants or objects, impact with terrain or equipment, cuts, bruises, broken bones, spinal injuries, and death. I voluntarily assume all such risks, known and unknown.
2.2 Release of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in Lineup Legends events and associated activities, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Lineup Legends LLC, Capitan Keno’s, their respective members, managers, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, event staff, and successors (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained by me in connection with my participation in this event, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
2.3 Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur as a result of my participation in this event.
2.4 Medical Authorization
In the event of an emergency, I authorize the Released Parties to arrange for emergency medical treatment on my behalf. I agree to be responsible for all costs associated with such treatment.
Section 3 — Media and Publicity Release
3.1 Video and Photography
I grant Lineup Legends LLC, Capitan Keno’s, and their authorized partners a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to record, photograph, edit, reproduce, publish, broadcast, and distribute video and photographic footage of my participation in Lineup Legends events (collectively, “Content”).
3.2 Name and Likeness
I grant the Released Parties permission to use my name, image, likeness, voice, biographical information, and competition results in connection with:
- The Platform at lineup-legends.live
- Social media channels associated with Lineup Legends and Capitan Keno’s
- Promotional materials, press releases, and advertising
- Future marketing of the Lineup Legends platform and contests
3.3 No Compensation
I understand that I will not receive any compensation for the use of my name, likeness, or Content as described above.
3.4 Moral Rights Waiver
To the extent permitted by law, I waive any moral rights I may have in the Content.
Section 4 — Contest Acknowledgments
4.1 Results are Final
I understand that heat results are determined by fan vote and that the decisions of Lineup Legends LLC regarding vote counts and Contest outcomes are final and binding.
4.2 Prize Taxes
I understand that I am solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on any prize I receive.
4.3 Equipment
I am responsible for providing my own equipment required for competition. The Released Parties are not responsible for loss of, damage to, or theft of personal equipment.
4.4 Contest Modification
I understand that the Sponsors may modify or cancel the Contest due to weather, force majeure, insufficient participation, or other factors, and I will not hold the Released Parties liable for such modifications.
Section 5 — General
5.1 This Release shall be governed by the laws of the applicable state where the event occurs.
5.2 If any provision of this Release is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
5.3 This Release represents the entire agreement between the Participant and the Released Parties with respect to the subject matter hereof.
5.4 I have had the opportunity to read this document carefully and to ask questions before signing. I am signing this Release freely and voluntarily.
Section 6 — Parental / Guardian Consent
Complete this section only if the Participant is between the ages of 13 and 17.
I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian of the minor named above, have read this entire Release and Waiver and consent to my minor child’s participation in Lineup Legends events. I agree, on behalf of myself and my minor child, to all terms of Sections 1 through 5 above. I certify that I have authority to grant the consents and waivers set forth herein.
