Athletes (Registered Competitors):

• Division (sport / category)
• Skill level / category
• Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store raw card data)
• Profile photo (if uploaded)

Fans (Voters):

• IP address (used solely to enforce the one-vote-per-heat rule)
• Browser fingerprint / session token (used solely to enforce the one-vote-per-heat rule)
• No account registration is required to vote

All Users:

• Contact form submissions
• Any information you voluntarily provide via email or social media

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Platform, we automatically collect:

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Referring URL
• Pages visited and time spent
• Device type (mobile/desktop)
• Cookie data (see Section 6)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from:

• Stripe: Transaction confirmation data (not raw card numbers)
• Social media platforms: If you interact with our social media pages

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate the Platform — manage contests, heats, voting, and results
• Process payments — collect registration fees via Stripe
• Communicate with you — send contest confirmations, heat results, and announcements
• Enforce voting integrity — prevent vote manipulation using IP/session data
• Improve the Platform — analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and improve features
• Marketing — with your consent, send promotional emails about upcoming contests
• Legal compliance — fulfill legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
• Safety and security — detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical attacks

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate the Platform, including:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Netlify — website hosting
• Neon — database infrastructure
• Vimeo / YouTube — video hosting
• Resend — transactional email

All service providers are contractually required to handle your data in accordance with applicable law.

4.2 Contest Sponsors

We may share Athlete names and division information with contest sponsors (e.g., Capitan Keno’s) for the purposes of prize fulfillment and joint promotional activities. We will not share financial or contact information with sponsors without your explicit consent.

4.3 Public Contest Results

Athlete names and heat results are displayed publicly on the Platform as part of normal contest operations. By registering, you consent to your name appearing in public results and standings.

4.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or the public.

4.5 Business Transfers

If the Company is acquired, merged, or undergoes a similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change via the Platform or email.

5. Data Retention

• Athlete data is retained for 3 years after your last contest participation, then deleted or anonymized
• Voting/IP data is retained for 90 days after a contest closes, then deleted
• Payment records are retained as required by law (typically 7 years for tax purposes)
• You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 9)

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Maintain your session on the Platform
• Enforce the one-vote-per-heat limit
• Analyze Platform usage (analytics)

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent some Platform features from functioning. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.

7. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to promptly notifying affected users of any confirmed data breach as required by applicable law.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., Capitan Keno’s, Instagram, YouTube). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users or via a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
